Czech Language Allocations
Available to Local Lodges
Czech class allocations are still avail-
able. Any SPJST lodge wishing to hold
Czech classes for a minimum of 15 hours
with a minimum of at least ťive students
may apply. The amount per lodge is
$200. Students should also pay a ťee ťor
these classes. Each local lodge is to han-
dle their own class and to report to the
Supreme Lodge on how the money was
spent and the number of students who
were enrolled.
No credits will be given for comple-
tion of the courses. The classes should,
however, provide those interested with a
good opportunity to develop a better
understanding of the Czech language—
both as it is written and as it is spoken.
Iť your lodge is interested in holding a
class, contact the Supreme Lodge
Presidenťs Office for more details by
calling 1 (800) 727-7578. Thanks to the
increased ťunding, eight addTional lodges
can be accommodated.
For 1994, several lodges háve already
ťinished classes, with the number of stu-
dents enrolled ranging from 12 to 40 per
class.
