to order by our President James
Wilcox.

committees wére read and.accepted
by the members. ..
Our main topič of diseussion for
the evening was goals for 1982.
There were lots of ideas on what to
do to improve our lodge. After some
discussions, it was decided to:
1. Asphalt a portion of the
parking area in front of the lodge.
2. Construct a metal buiiding to
store our lawnmowers in.
3. Rewire and repiace new
speakers to our PA systém.
We hope to háve more improve-
ments to report later on, to make
our lodge a better and more
beautiful plače.
We were saddened to hear the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy
Cottrell was destroyed by fire and
Mrs. Cottrell was badly burned.
Lodge No. 74 donated $100 to this
famiiy.
The Youth Club did an outstand-
ing job on decorating our ballroom
for Valentine’s Day. We thank each
and everyone of vou.

I would like to mention about the
workers in the different depart-

Ms. Nan Code selling admission
tickets, Mrs. Thelma Stewart in the
kitchen; in the bar we háve Ms.
Emma Maples, Jane and Bili Frazier
and J erry Michka.our bar chairman.
These people give up their Saturday
nights, so the rest of us can háve a
good time; telí them how much you
appreciate them. I almost forgot the
smiling face of our security guard,
Constable Severu Eodgers; he sees
that we act like ladies and
gentlemen, whiie smiling at us all
the way. We appreciate all these
dedicated workers.

FAMILY TOO
A concern for the needs of others
has been the heart of fraternalism
since John Jordán Upchúrch organized
the first fraternal lodge in Meadville,
Pennsylvania, on October 27,1868.
As a local unit or as a famiiy there
are many opportunities for us to share
our lives with the handicapped. Here
are some suggested activities.
For your Local Unit:
* Provide an opportunity for
members to understand different dis-
abilities by conducting an educational
program as part of a unit meeting.
The program can feature a movie, a
speaker oř a demonstration. Make it
an open meeting and invite families to
participate,
