Nancy Hare
Weds Sunday
Refugio. — Miss Nancy Jane
Hare became the bride of Mr. £>a-
vid Earl Newman in the Episco-
pal Church of the Ascencion at 2
o’clock p.m. Sunday, March 29,
1964. The Rev. Lee Sampson Block
performed the double ring cere-
mony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Neel W. Hare of Refugio.
The groom1 is the son of Mrs. lone
.Newman of Portland.
White stock decorated the altar
and fern and White asters in the
windows completed the setting.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. .She wore a street
length wedding dress of white bro-
caded satin. It was designed with
quarter length sleeves and a
scoop neckline. Her Lowers were
white1 orchids.
Mrs. John Bishop of Houston
was matron of honor and the
bride’s sister, Miss Noellene Hare
was maid of honor
'The groom’s attendants were R.
F. McLaughlin of Corpus Christi,
best man, and Alvin B. McFat-
ridge of Portland, groomsman.
Jirrfm'ie Stephens of Refugio usher-
ed.
Mrs. Melvin Bricker played the
wedding music.
The mother of the groom wore
a beige dress with matching ac-
cessories. Her corsage was a
green orchid.
The bride’s mother chose a blue
dress with block accessories. She
wore a white orchid corsage.
A reception was held following
the ceremony, in the parish house.
The table was laid with a white
organdy cloth and held a center
arrangement of white stock and
asters.
For traveling the bride wore a
white shantung suit with white ac-
cessories .
Upon their return from a honey-
moon in Houston the couple will
make their home at 707 Coman-
che, Corpus Christi, Texas.
The bride is a graduate of Re-
fugio High School and the groom
a graduate of Portland Gregory
High School.
Out - of - town guests were:
the groom’s sisters, Doris, Debor-
ah, Patricia Dorothy and Pauline
of Portland; Frances Thornton,
Gennie Casey, Clyde Cebrat, Paul
Cebrat and Leo Freico, of Port-
land; M;r. and Mrs. M. C. Seiler,
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Muechow,
Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Seiler, and
Cynthia Seiler, of San Antonio;
Mr and Mrs. Richard Roscow of

Olson-Lutenbacher
Attendants Named
Refugio. — Attendants for the
wedding of Miss Dorris Jean Olson
and Jack Curtis Lutenbacher have
been announced.
Miss Norma E. Olson, sister of
the bride, will be maid of honor
and Mrs. Joe Keith, sister of the
groom, will be matron of honor.
Miss Dorothy Olson and Miss
Wanda Johs will serve as bridles
maids, and Miss Kay Lutenbacher
will be junior bridesmaid.
The best man will be Phil Whi-
tenton with Joe Keith. Roger Fan-
clher, Dickie Tontpkins and Larry
Rogers serving as groomsmen and
Ushers.
The wedding will be Saturday,
April 11. 1964, at 4 p.m- in the
First Baptist Church at Woodsbo-
ro. Friends of the couple are cor-
dially invited.

and Miss Brenda Rhame. accom-
anied by Mrs. Felix Rhame join-
ed a chartered bus load of young
ladies and their sponsors in this
area to attend the Girls’ Auxiliary
Queen’s Court at Howard Payne
College in Brownwood, Texas.
The group which left Thursday
and returned late Saturday were
a part of the 2,000 member court.
Sponsored by the Texas Women’s
Missionary Union. The program
was inspirational and mission-
ary in its emphasis.
The two girls gave a report of
the meeting during Sunday even
ing worship services at the First
Baptist Church.
