Miss Carol Ann Chambers
Weds David Lee Sullivan
Woodsboro. — Arrangements
of white stock and gladioli form-
ed the setting for the marriage
of Miss Carol Ann Chambers
and David Lee Sullivan of Re-
fugio Friday, August 18, at 7:30
p.m. in St. Therese Catholic
Church. Father Deane officiated
at the double ring nuptial mass.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John F. Cham-
bers. Parents of the groom are

Refugio.
Miss Ann Lopez played tradi-
tional wedding music, and Miss

selections, “Wedding Prayer”
and “On This Day”.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her brother, Lt. John
F. Chambers, Jr. She chose a
formal gown of peau de soie
faille fashioned with an empire
bodice, sabrina neckline and el-
bow length sleeves. The skirt
was a tube sheath. Both the
bodice and skirt were decorated
with a panel of Chantilly lace,
traced with bridal pearls and
a Cathedral length peacock train
flowed from two soft bows at
the waistline.
Her veil of silk illusion was
caught with a crescent shaped
headpiece of lace and seed
pearls, and she carried a cas-
cade bouquet of feathered car-
nations, stephanotis and Eng-
lish ivy, centered with a Cattle-
ya orchid.
Maid of honor was Miss

maids, Mrs. Larry Oefinger of
Bishop and Miss Betty Downey
of Ennis. They wore identical
apricot formal length gowns
fashioned with lace empire bod-
ices and A-line skirts. Their
sleeves were of scalloped lace.
Veils of tulle were held by pill
box headpieces, and they car-
ried cascades of mint green
Fugi chrysanthemums and Eng-
lish ivy.

the groom of Houston, was flow-
er girl, and Doug Meissner of

Serving as best man was Joe
Brown of Kingsville. Grooms-
men were Ronald Carlson of
Elgin and Bill Winsor of Refu-
gio, and ushers, Edgar Jeter
and Bobby Kelley, both of Re-
fugio.
The bride's mother chose an
aqua A-line dress trimmed with
matching lace, matching pill 'box
headpiece and shoes, and white
gloves. The groom’s mother
wore a beige sheath with a
matching pill box headpiece and
shoes and white gloves. Both
wore corsages of apricot feath-
ered carnations.
Following the ceremony, a
reception was held at the Par-
ish Hall of the church. The
bride’s table was laid with a
white net over taffeta cloth,
trimmed in apricot colored rib-
bon and English ivy. The cen-
terpiece was a branched can-
dlebra holding apricot tapers
with white stock and apricot
chrysanthemums. Apricot tint-
ed roses, wedding bells and lily
of the valley decorated the
three-tierel confection.
In the houseparty were Miss
Susan Sullivan of Refugio and
Mrs. Robert Greiner of Hous-
ton, both sisters of the groom;
Mrs. Paul Lindsey of College
Station, Mrs. Bobby Joe Kolza
of Victoria and Mrs. Ronald
Hyden of Kingsville.
