Come one. come all. to an all you
can eat fish fry on March 23 at the
Senior Citizens center from 6 p.m. to
8 p.m Adults are $6 per plate and
children under 12 are $3 The senior
citizens are serving fried fish fillets,
hush puppies, cole slaw, red beans
and fruit cobbler There will be a
whole lot of talking going on. I'll see
you there.
Saturday afternoon. Dorothy Sims
of Amarillo drove down to Happy to
visit her uncle. Cone Johnson. She
wanted to see some old photographs
of her parents that Cone had.
The Happy FCE club will hold their
annual style show at Ceta Canyon on
Apnl6at7p.m Transportation will
be furnished if you need a ride. Please
call T nna Burwash at 558-2471 Con-
tact any member for tickets. Tickets
are $10 each

week Praise your teachers and visit

just returned from Almaty

day was so glad to see her. she is very

My telephone rang about 3 p in
Sunday afternoon It was Tommy
Womack calling from Barcelona.
Spam. I was so excited that I couldn't
ask him all the questions tliat were
flying through my mind.
The National Wheat Growers sent
several wheat fanners to several farm-
ing countries to sell United States
wheat to them. Tommy and the other
men have traveled to Morocco. Af-
rica, Marrakech, and that is where his
luggage was lost. But it finally ar-
rived in Katterdani. Holland.
He talked with a woman who owned
the largest flour mills in Holland.
Today they were addressing the con-
gress. m Barcelona. Spain. Tommy
was so impressed with the people in
each country Their next stop is in
Russia.
He was telling me about this beau-
tiful church and how large it was. also
about the spires being covered with
copper and gold, and all the carved
statues that were around this church
It was 3 p.m. here and 10 p.m in
Spam
Our sympathy to the family of O.H.
Rahlfs. O.H died Friday. He was a
lifetime resident of Happy He had
many friends and family in this area.
Please keep ilnsfamily in your prayers.
His services were in the First Baptist
Church of Happy and burial was in
the Happy Cemetery.
Remember these friends and neigh-

JOHN and LUCY Culwell went
to Amarillo Saturday with the
Littlefields and then to the play Sat-
urday night with them. Sunday, they

for lunch.

went to Silverton Saturday to meet
the new district Methodist Bishop.
COLBY GARDNER competed in
the Metal Trades welding contest in
Fort Worth this past weekend.
GARY GARDNER and Allen
Bean are in Austin this week to pro-
mote legislation for a ndw bill called
the Tulia bill.
PAT and LILLY Torbitt have re-
turned from El Paso where he has
been welding.
LEE and MAGEN Moore went to
Wichita Falls this weekend to visit
Lee girl, and then get Magen a new
car
