When the Port Aransas Youth Soccer League held its awards ceremony, Saturday, Dec. 2, in Community
t Park, the kids on the Under-12 team played their parents. Here, just as Whitney Williams was about to
score, her father Jay Kenigsberg, kicked the ball back. In the background, from left, are Jim Atkinson,
a parent; Tristan Richards, coach; and Bryan Curry, a parent. The game ended in a tie, but the kids
would have won had not Kenigsberg kicked the ball back.

Kiwanis Club
gives Latchkey
television set
The boys and girls in the Latchkey
program at H.G. Olsen Elementary
School received a 25-inch television
set and a VCR from Kiwanis Club of
Port Aransas.
The TV set and the VCR will make
it easier to entertain the children
when they have finished their home-
work, said Nancy Clarke, chairman
of the project.
The club presented the gifts at a
pizza party last week. Ciail Swenson
was chairman of the pizza party. She
treated the boys and girls to home-
made cookies after the pizza was
served.
Also representing the Kiwanis
Club, in addition to ('lark-n and
Swenson were Betty Williams and
Slow Grissom.
