THE MEMORIES THAT were
given to honor Jacy and Jacob
Hobgood were presented to the stu-
dents at Rex Reeves Elementary Sept.
8. Jacy and Jacob were students at Rex
Reeves Elementary when they were
killed in a car and train accident
along with their dad Jason Hobgood.
A greenhouse was dedicated to them
on the grounds at the school A stone
bench with figurines of a boy and girl
sitting on it were placed outside be-
side the greenhouse and a memorial
stone engraved with the message "In
loving memory of Jacy and Jacob
Hobgood" was placed beside it. Flow-
ers and plants were donated by Gay
Baade and Jarene Wharton, aunts of
the children This living memorial is
a wonderful way to teach young stu-
dents how to grow and take care of
plants.

THE HAPPY SENIOR Citizens
held their noon luncheon on Thurs-
day, Sept. 19. Jobeth White's sixth
grade class served our meal, escorted
the little old ladies across the street,
held the door open, and carried the
covered dishes into the kitchen. They
were so helpful.
The class had made the placemats
with the 9-11 motif, very patriotic.
The sixth grade class ofHappy School
just made our day Thank you stu-
dents. Audrey Seals name was called
for the "Lucky Bucks," which
amounted to $5. Audrey donated the
$5 to the sixth grade for a job well
done.
PLEASE REMEMBER THESE
friends and neighbors in your prayers:
The family of Willie Mae Gerdes,
who died Stmday in Amarillo; and
Dorothy Nall's cousin, Willadean
Dalton, died last week after a lengthy
illness.
Dorothy also reports they took a
short trip to Colorado. They took
Shorty's niece to see her brother who
is very ill. Dorothy said she could see
Pike's Peak each morning when she
went for a walk.
