7th Grade Dobbers
Finish Great Season
The Dobbers faced a tough task last
Thursday playing Dimmitt at home.
The seventh grade Dobbers overcame
and defeated the Bobcats 18-16.
Starting the scoring was a long run
by Terrance Powell. The two-point
conversion failed. Late in the second
quarter Travis Evans also scored on a
long run to make the score 12-0.
The Bobcats held tough and moved
the football and changed the score to
12-8.
The Dobbers received their final
score of the night on a short run by
Terrance Powell. The two-point con-
version failed. Late in the fourth
quarter Dimmitt scored again making
the score 18-16.
With less than two minutes remain-
ing, Dimmitt got the football at the
Dobbers 30-yard line. The Dobbers
defense bent, but never broke and
held with seconds remaining on the
clock.
The Dobbers ended the year a 6-1-
1 record. This was a very successful
year for the Dobbers. The kids, par-
ents and community should be very
pleased with the character and hard
work these young men put into the
season.
Please come out and support the
basketball team this upcoming sea-
son. Thank you to all the parents and
fans who came out and supported the
Dobbers, said Coach Hamilton.
