ined the accounts of the Humble Independent School Dis-

Volunteers
The Red Cross will open a
surgical dressing room in the
Dodge building in the next
couple of weeks. Volunteers
are urgently requested to regis-
ter for this vital war work at
Red Cross headquarters. Days
and hours of work will be an-
nounced later- We are obtain-
ing this roam through the court-
esy of August Randowand Hen-
ry Runnels.

The Humble Rainbow Assem-
bly, 25, are giving a Slumber
Party, Saturday night at the
home of Miss Sarah Alice Jones,
in honor of Miss Pauline Hunt-
er Past Jr. Worthy Advisor of
the Assembly.
Cpl. Walter Fehner of Pine
Camp, N.Y. and his sister Mrs.
R. L. Bales of Dallas, Texas are
visiting in the home of their
mother, of this city. Walter is
technician in a heavy mainten-
ance Ordinance Company. Olga
is the wife of 1st Liewt. Richard
L. Bales of this city who is a
ferry pilot in the army air
transport command.
Assembly Program
The assembly programs of
the Humble High School will be
on Tuesdays from 1:45 until
2:15 instead of Thursdays as
last year.
At the program for Tuesday,
September 28, stars will be add-
ed to the Service Flag for form-
er Humble students who have
gone into service since May 15.
Please send names of those who
should be included in this group
to Miss Louise Cezeaux.
