OPEN HERE THURSDAY,
APRIL 30
The Little Olympics will start
off on Thursday, April 30, at 1:30
p.m., with a series of field events
which will include the broad jump,
shot put, pull-ups, archery, soft
ball throw and others.
The Olympics will officially get
underway on Friday, May 1, at
7 p.m., and will start with a pa-
rade of the Princess and the con-
testants. There will be a con-
cession stand where sandwiches,
cakes and cold drinks will be
sold. Admission to the Olym-
pics will be 15c for pre-school
children; 25e for school children
and 50c for adults.

V. F. W. GIVES FLAG TO
SCOUTS
On Wednesday, April 14, Explor-
er Scouts, Post 146, held its bi-
weekly meeting in the basement of
the Methodist Church. An interest-
ing program discussed the “Citi-
zenship in the Community” merit
badge. At this meeting a United
States flag was presented to the
post by the local V.F.W. The
post is very grateful to the V.F.W.
for the flag and we will display
it proudly at all functions. Again
we wish to thank all members of
the V.F.W. for this wonderful
gesture toward scouting in Ban-
dera.

in their Favorite Foods Show last
Satur iay when it was held in the
hall at St. Joseph’s School.

The Kerrville Art Club mem-
bets will hold their annual art
exhibit at the Gallery, 416 Main
Street, Kerrville, on Saturday and
Sunday, April 25th and 26th. The
