Another move has been made by the
City Council that will draw the un-

ragged edge of nothing, and directly
over the river, sometimes referred to
as the city bastile, or tnore properly
and commonly called calaboose, be

Notice to All Water Consumers:
Your especial attention is called ti the Following Ciry Ordinance
regulating water use for sprinkling purposes:
“Sprinkling only ’’permitted from 6 a. m. to
a. m., and from li. p. m. to 8 p. m., and pro-
hibited after alarm offtrr until fire is Out.
Lau n sprinklers and hose not held in hand
prohibited except where meters are installed.
-V« street, sprinkling allowed in residence rates
unless meters are installed"
We wiU have to rigidly enforce this ordinacoe, and where parties
are in the habit of sprinkling the streets in front of their homes or
places of business in conflict with the ordinance the water *ril! be
cut off unless meters are installed.
We would also cal! especial attention to the manner in wh»di
some consumers are permitting their hydrants to run wide open. es.
pecially after dark, This fs not only in conflict with the Cite Or-
dinances hut it makes it absolutely impossible to gwe fire pressure
when hydrants are left open or leaking.
V\e shall ask all water consumers to conform to the Oty Ordi-
nances in the use of water.
