PIONEER RESIDENT
Services were held Monday
afternoon at 3 o’clock for E.
G. Purvis, age 79, who died
at his home in Cojrrigan Sun-
day afternoon.
Mr. Purvis was a pioneer
resident of Polk County hav-
ing been born at Pine Grove
and resided in this section all
his life. He had been ill for
the past year, his condition
becoming serious several
weeks ago.
Mr. Purvis was married to
Miss Nellie Mixon of Pine
Grove on September 20, 1880,
and they had resided in Cor-
rigaVi for the past 27 years.
