Dear Ann,
Would you consider taking a poll to find out if guys really prefer girls who act dumb? My friends
tell me I should hide my intelligence if I want to get dales, but I feel that that’s the same as lying. Maybe
they’re right, though, because even though I know a lot of guys, they don’t ask me out. I'd be really
interested to see the results of a survey.
Who’s Smart?
Dear Who’s,
That sounds like an excellent idea. Let's try it.
MALE/FEMALE (Please circle) AGE:
HOW INTELLIGENT DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE (1-10; l=PLUTO & 10=EINSTEIN)
AND WHY? _
WHAT INTERESTS YOU THE MOST ABOUT MEMBERS OF THE OPPOSITE SEX?
HAVE YOU PRETENDED TO BE MORE OR LESS INTELLIGENT TO ATTRACT
DATES? __
HAVE YOU EVER "PICKED UP" SOMEONE BASED ON THEIR INTELLIGENCE?
WHAT IS YOUR MOST UNUSUAL DATING EXPERIENCE?

FROM THE BENCH
By A. Former Jock
Sports Columnist
Howdy Sports Fans! Well,
now that football season is over,
I thought 1 would make a few
suggestions about other sports to
watch to fill the lime until base-
ball begins.
First, for those of you who
don’t know, we do have an ath-
leticdcpanmcnthcreai Wesleyan.
Right now, both the men’s and
women's basketball teams have
begun their conference play. Both
arc doing well. They are playing
well and winning! Also the
baseball, softball, golf and tennis
teams arc playing. Foraschcdule
of events, consult the official
green and blue school semester
calendars or call the athletic de-
partment at 531-4950. All pro-
grams need every body's support.
Second, if you just love col-
lege athletics, you can always visit
TCU, SMU, UTA or UNT. All
are within driving distance. TCU
wil! be your best choice for they
are only 10-15 minutes away.
Remember, they arc that other
Fort Worth school. The who?
The homed frogs. TCU is a
NCAA Division 1 school in the
Southwest Conference who plays
against S MU, Texas Toe h, Texas
A&M, Rice, Houston, Baylorand
UT. Foraschcdulcofthcircvcnts,
you can call 921-7968 for their
haskcthall office.
For professional or semi-
professional athletics, there are
several teams throughout the
metroplex. For professional bas-
ketball, there are the Dallas
Mavericks. Now 1 know they
haven’t been playing very well,
bul you can always go to see the
oihcrteams. Theonlyothersport
going on is hockey. The Dallas
Stars arc a professional hockey
team. The Stars are third in their
division and could possibly be
looking at ihc playoffs. For semi-
professional hockey, there are the
Fort Worth Fire and the Dallas
Freeze, who are fifth and fourth
place respectively in the CHL.
The Fire games are relatively
inexpensive at only $7-11 for
seats. They are good games that
are a lot of fun and excitement.
For Fire ticket information call
335-3473.
Well, that’s about all for
now. So I hope everyone has a
grod week and enjoys the entire
sporting v orld. That’s a wrap!
