I only one bov and one girl or one
I of either sex to enter, it would not
! be necessary for you to have a local
contest. tiowewr; 1 believe better
j results will be attained by getting
several boys and a number of girls
| to enter your local contest. You will
I reach a greater number of pupils

ward about entering the contest, I
suggest that you offer a small money
prize to tlie bov and girl who wins
first place in tile local contest.
I 1 am exceedingly anxious that we
make this organization a success. It
lias for its object results which have
been neglected already too long We
need your co-operation and certainly
expect it. We cannet conceive of a
teacher who would not lend aid to
such a worthy effort The way that
you can best help along this good

to leave your school represented at
the annual meeting. Let' the other|
schools know that yours is on the
map.
1 earnestly request that you write!
me as soon as possible, signifying
your Intention to have pupils in the

tiide of J hours and 5f> minutes. Alt
the way the special nraiu on which
Mr. Morgan made the trip averaged
more than a mile a minute. The.dis-
tance between the two cities' is
32 4.7 miles and express trains make
it in five hours. Mr. Morgan's train
was composed of a locomotive, a ten-
der. one stpel couch and a private
car and left Washington at 11: J 2 a.
in. A fifteen-minute stop was made
at the M'est Philadelphia station,
where engines were changed and the
train arrived in New York at 2:OH

was ordered in a hurry and the pur-

The greatest crisis ia a woman’s
life is when first she becomes
a mother. All the physical
•strength of her nature is de-
manded at such times, and it is
necessary that her system be
thoroughly prepared for the
event, in order that her health be preserved for future years. Moth-
er’s Friend is woman's safest reliance; it is a medicine for external
use, composed of oils and other ingredients which assist nature in all
necessary physical changes of the system. Its regular use before the
coming of baby prepares the muscles and tendons for the unusual
strain, aids in expanding the skin and flesh fibres, and strengthens
the tissues. Mother’s Friend leaves the mother in such healthful
condition that her recovery is
rflways rapid and natural.
