Many friends and relatives here
were shocked and grieved to
learn of the death of Coleman
Anderson, a resident of this
community for the past twenty-
five years, He came to this com-
munity from the Rio Grande
Valiev. Mr. Anderson resided at
Twin Lake where he was found
Sunday by County Judge Roy
Adams who went out to see him.
Judge Adams found him seated
in his chair dead.
Joseph Coleman Anderson was

meet a new opponent, Sabinal,
this coming Thursday night,

McShane ranked in the upper
20 per cent of his graduating
class at the University of Tex-

there emphasised preparation for
general trial and appeal work.
He received a certificate of merit
and a cash prise for perfor-
mance in the Hildebrand Moot
Court while there. He is a mem-
ber of Phi Alpha Delta legal
fraternity.
He was graduated with honors
from St. Mary’s in 1964 with
a grade point average of 3.3.
He was elected to Pi Gamma
Mu national social science so-
ciety and Delta Epsilon Sigma
national scholastic honor so-
ciety while there. He took his
college preparatory work at St.
Edward's High School in Aus-
tin.
He completed his examinations
for the bar in the upper 10 per
cent of the new attorneys taking
the test.
He worked for a time in the
Kerr-Ban plant here and was
a briefing clerk for Rep. Gene
Foodren in the last session for
Legislature.
McShane is now stationed at
FL Dix, New Jersey, intheArmy
Reserve program. He is mar-
ried to the former Rosalie Ann
Boecker. a speech and hearii^
pathologist.
McShane grew up in Bandera
•nd attended the Bandera schools.
His- parents, Mr. and Mrs. John
McShane are residents of Ban-
dera and Taylor, and many
friends here are interested in his
accomplishments and wish him
much success in his chosen field.

BAPTISTS WILL HOLD
EIGHT DAY SERVICES

eight day series of services to
be held at the First Baptist
Church here October 15 through
22. Planned as a family partici-
pation event, it is also geared
for the individual who would
understand more of the potent-
ialities for a full and rewarding
life today as well as hereafter.
Hours of meeting are 10:50
a.m., and 8:00 p.m. Sundays,
10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on
weekdays.
Rev. Sam Coffey, a capable
speaker, trained and experienced
in helping persons will be the
speaker in these services except
for Sunday morning the 15th
and Sunday night the 22nd when
the local Pastor, J. Manley
Reynolds, will speak.
Supervision of music, includ-
ing special numbers is in the
charge of Mrs. Bob Mansfield,
the Music Director of the church.
She will be assisted by the pastor
in direction of week day and
night' audiences participation
music and by the choirs and in-
strunrentalists of the church.
