INFORMATION MANAGER
Kerrville. — Mooney Aircraft,
Inc., Kerrville, Texas, . has an-
nounced the appointment of Wal-
ter H. Kimmell as Manager of
Public Relations. Kimmell has
moved from Tucson, Arizona,
where he has owned and operated
an advertising agency for the past
eight years. Kimmell served as a
Lt. Commander with the” U. S.
Navy and is a former Public In-
formation Officer for the Naval
Air Reserve Training Command,
Glenview, Illinois.
This appointment is in line
with Mooney’s expansion program.
E. E. “Gene” Carman, Director of
Public Relations, will continue to
head the Public Relations Depart-
ment, as well as to implement the
company’s new education program
for Mooney distributors and
dealers.
The nation’s fastest growing
aircraft manufacturer, Mooney
Aircraft, Inc., currently employs
in excess of 550 full-time personnel

WOMAN S SOCIETY HAS
INTERESTING PROGRAM
The Woman’s Society of Chris-
tian Service met in the home of
Mrs. Lucilo Muehl on April 23,
at 7:30 p.m. The program lead-
ers was Mrs. Dave Krisch, the
subject, “When Does a Christian
Woman Volunteer Her Time,”
Scripture, Romans 12:1-8, Song,
“0, Master Let Me Walk With
Thee,” sung by the group, and
prayer. Four ladies and the
leader spoke on the subjects with
short discussion.
A Litany of thanksgiving hymn,
"For the Beauty of the Earth”
was read by the leader, with ev-
eryone joining in on the refrain.
The business meeting followed.
A work day is being planned in
the near future at the church.
The closing prayer was lead by
Mrs. Florence Jenness.
The refreshment table' decora-
tions featured a small train with
bags of dollar bills in the cars
and a railroad sign which read,
“Happy Birthday and Happy Va-
cation to Mrs. Allen E. Schott.”
Sixteen ladies were present, in-
cluding two welcome'visitors, Mrs.
Leroy Keese of Kerville and Mrs.
Sidney Zirkle of Kerrville.
Refreshments were served.

The Flowera-by-the Yard Con-
test on May 23, 1964, will be
held in Medina by the Rose Gar-
den Club. So Ladies and Gentle-
men of Medina get your Gardens

areas. The Ladies of the Rose
Garden Club will be around to in-
spect on May 23, 1964, and they
will give prizes to owners with
outstanding Gardens.

entetained with a loveiy farewell
barbecue honoring their children,
Lt. ami Mrs. Orville Keese and
children, Sunday, at the Howell
Keese home. Lt. Keese and fam-
ily left Tuesday for Stead AFB,
Reno, Nevada, for their new sta-
tion.

city accompanied by her aunt, Mrs.
Zepha Means of San Antonio,
spent several days last week visit-
ing Mrs. Fee’s dad, Mr. John

returned home and while pulling
weeds was bit by a rattlesnake.
He is doing nicely now and is in
the V. A. Hospital in Big Springs.
Ret Maj. Beatrice Chambers
and Mrs. Richard Adams motored
to Three Rivers Sunday and visit-
ed with friends and relatives.
Sorry to report C. C. Allen suf-
fered a heart attack Friday while
working in his garden. We hope
he will soon be feeling much bet-
ter.

spent the week-end with his moth-
er, Mrs. O. W. Cooso.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gazaway
Jr., and family and Mr. and Mrs.
Pecos Wakeley and family of San
