er. The car turned completely over
and lay upside down. Fortunately the
windows were down and through
these the occupants of the car ctblv^
ed out. Ry a miracle the young la-
dies were not hurt and the car was
but slightly injured. A party of
Weatherford people who had been out
driving passed along and brought
Misses Barrett and Brooks to the city.
Later the car was brought 'In and
found so slightly injured that it
would still run on its own power. It
was a very close call for the ladies,
many deaths and severe injuries hav-

cidents.

Fun, forllc and a rip, roaring time
is promised all who attend the Ne-
gro Jubilee to be given by the Senior
B. Y. P. TJ. in the Baptist Tabernacle
next Tuesday night, when some thir-
ty characters, who have rehearsed
their parts for several days, will per-
form for the delectation of the hun-
dreds of pleasure seekers who will
fill the tabernacle to overflowing. The
“Jubilee” is being arranged and re-
hearsed under the able direction of
Mrs. Frank Milburn, which further
insures s perfect evening of laughter.
Included in the reportoire will be
musical sketches, dialogues in the
negro dialect, a two character play
of about fifteen minutes, jokes, and
above all, the exact impersonation of
the old time darkies by the experts
whose services have been secured for
the evening. Humorous readings by
artists of note will be a very pleasing
feature of the entertainment.
The "Jublee” which will last for an
hour and a half or two hours, will be
a scream from start to finish. With
thirty flack faced commedians taking
part, each and every one an adept in
that line, and rehearsed to a fine
point of perfection, Fields Minlstrels
could easily receive some very val-
uable pointers in the mimicking of
the Southland darkey. A small admis-
sion is being charged by the B. Y. P.
U„ 25c for the grown ups and 15c for
the children.
