Guys And Dolls Golf Tournament
Planned At Atascocita On Sunday
The regular business
meeting of the Atascocita
Womens' Golf Association
was held at the Club drive-
in last Wednesday.
Final details were work-
ed out for the association’s
Guys and Dolls Golf Tour-
nament to be held Sunday.
It will be an eighteen hole
tournament and tee off time
will be 12 noon.
A buffet dinner in the
country club dining room is
planned following the tour-
nament.
A new traveling handicap
trophy will be given this
year. The player who low-
ers her handicap the most

ficers will be held March
7 during the area FHA
meeting to be held at the
University of Houston.
Qulifications for record-
ing secretary are leader-
ship , attractiveness, at
least a B plus average and
an interest in FHA.
Each FHA chapter has a
voting delegate which is
usually the president of that
chapter. The voting dele-
gates will elect the 1964
slate of officers following
a meeting of the delegates
with a list of qulifications
of the candidates and an
interview of each of the
candidates. The girls
elected for the coming year
will be installed at this
meeting.

Herb Bread
Your home-baked Herb Bread will be fragrant with basil, thyme,
oregano and nutmeg seasonings, and have that wonderful yeasty
goodness of fresh bread. Fresh from the oven and cut in thick slices,
it is delicious generously spread with softened butter or margarine.
Homemade bread offers a memorable eating experience for your
entire family, as well as secretly contributes important nutrients to
their diet.
HERB BREAD
2 packages yeast, compressed 2 teaspoons salt
or dry 5 cups sifted enriched flour
!4 cup water (lukewarm for (about)
compressed yeast, warm ^ f99s
... /2 teaspoon each basd,
or.,,ry^ oregano, thyme and
1 cup milk nutmeg.
!4 CUP shortening or oil Melted butter or margarine
2 tablespoons sugar
Soften yeast in water. Scald milk. Measure shortening or oil,
sugar and salt into large bowl. Add hot milk, stirring until short-
ening melts and sugar dissolves. Cool to lukewarm. Stir in about
1 ]/2 cups Hour and beat well. Beat in softened yeast and eggs. Crum-
ble basil, oregano and thyme in palm of hand. Add to batter with
nutmeg. Stir in enough more Hour to make a soft dough. Turn out
on lightly floured board or pastry cloth and knead until smooth and
satiny. Shape into ball and place in lightly greased bowl, turning
to grease surface of ball. Cover and let rise in warm place (80-
8f)°F.) until doubled, about 1 '/2 hours. Bunch down. Divide dough
into 2 equal portions and shape into balls. Cover and let rest 10
minutes. Shape into 2 loaves. Place in greased •F/fe x SV-j-inc.h loaf
pans. Lightly grease surface of loaves. Let. rise in warm place until
doubled, about. 1 hour. Bake in moderate oven (37.r>".F.) 30 to 3f>
minutes, or until deep golden brown. Remove from pans and brush
surfaces with butler-or margarine. Makes two 1-pound loaves.
