THE TIGER
October, 1960
Have You Heard
H. M. is it true that you are
waiting for the basket ball sea-
son to open so that you may
catch a girl?
J. M. why are you always
alone don't you know that M. L.
has eyes for you?
It is said that Mr. J. W. could
be a very good dancer if he
would dance on the floor
instead of the shoes.
Did you know that people are
admiring the way that L. H.
dees the twist?
Mr. W. H. why are you afraid
to play ping-pong, it is because
M. L. may beat you at it?
Have you heard that V. S.
and E. W. are planning to cut
the cake soon?
K, H. did you know that P. S.
has eyes for you?
P. M. why are you looking
lonely these days, is it because
D. W. has found someone else?
P. T. are ycu at it again, giv-
ing all the girls the same line?
W. J. are you still walking
arcund looking lonely because
P. B. won't talk to you?
F. G. is it true that A. E. F. is
in love with your jokes more
than she is in love with you?
The lonely C. F. is looking for
a lonely girl, want someone
come to the rescue?
We're all wondering why L.
T. is always on the run, could
it be a secret girl?
D. C. people are wondering
if you have false legs, seems
like every time you attempt to
walk you fall.
Did ycu knew that the girls
are crazy about the way J. F.
talks?
Is it true that P. C. has to
smoke an empty pipe because
tobacco strangles him?
It is heard that M. S. and C.
H. are getting along fine, how
about that.
It seems as though J. A. B.
and S. A. H. are going steady.
Wouldn't it be nice if B. C.
and H. G. knew each other
much better?
H. R. has eyes for S. C.

Explosion at SAC
The balmy breezes of South-
west Texas wafted lazily along
the corridors of the McAllister
Fine Arts building, transporting
the lilting strains of Chopin,
Listz, Ravel and genus Mephitis
to the ears and noses of sleepy
students. Morpheus lost a brave
battle, for the Mr. Mephitis who
only recenily deserted his fam-
ily to seek higher learning had
been frightened by the strange
way of the genus known as
Ccllegitus Studentitus Ameri-
canus and began to cry so hard
that the very air was filled with
the wrath cf his tears and Col-
legitus Studentiius Americanus
began to exit in haste to avoid
sadness of Mr. Mephitis. Only
the sensitive ones remained,
dedicated to the noble task cf
reuniting Mr. Mephitis with his
family. The cruel members of
Ccllegitus Studentitus Ameri-
canus stood at the doors shout-
ing ''evict him — evict him!”
These beasts even threw a
deadly gas known as Air Wick
through the doors and under
desks, trying to destroy Mr.
Mephitis.
But wait! Mr. Mephitis could
not be found. Only a dire warn-
ing was left lingering in the air.
A warning cf "RETURN”.
Fear and trembling prevail
among the Studeniiti at present
and only rarely can the fiend-
ish screams of Dantesque hor-
rcr can be heard coming from
the bottomless pits of Piano 133,
Voice 231, Drama 456. And
among the books, through the
corridors can be heard the one
word—"when”.
To be continued—when?
