Our Grand Spring Showing in Each and Ev-
ery Department of Our Store
Beginning Monday, March 17th, and Continuing Through the Entire Week
Our Stock of Ladies9 Hats is Complete
Beautiful French Pattern, Charming Semi-Dress and
Suit Hats, with the Clever Gold Med-
al and Gage Street Hats
These stylish hats and feminine apparel of every description will be shown in all the
new and dainty colorings of the new season, including Nell Rose, Wils on Bliie, Coq
Doroche and Bulgarian. Styles are not created from the imagination of the French
as many suppose, but are usually taken from some historical period or a great inter-
national event. The war in the Balkans has proved the inspiration for the spring
season. The quaint and picturesque garb of the Bulgarians and Turks, with their
multi-colored effects, proved too strong an epoch in modern affairs to be overlooked
by the style arbiters. The inauguration of Woodrow Wilson, a national event, gave
us the new shades, Nell Rose and Wilson Blue—hence the new styles in hats and
gowns are all new and different, the most forceful and beautiful colorings in years,
The majority of hats for the new season are, as most of the women know, small close-
fitting styles. We have a host of these in Street and Semi-Dress Models. The Pan-
neries and other Dress Hats are larger, thus giving latitude in the new styles. Leg-
horns, Panamas, Togal, Milan, Peanut and Hemp drape shapes, Bulgarian and dainty
Dresden Crowns; ribbon trimmings, flat tall loops and upright effects, aigrette, wings,
tips, question marks, etc., and flowers are omnipresent; from the dainty cluster to the
extreme rose there is a lavishness of vivid colors. Come and enjoy the display of new
creations.
Our Sales People
We have a corps of sales people who are efficient and polite. None of them regard it as ‘ ‘trouble” to as-
sist a customer in finding exactly what he or she desires—it is rather a pleasure than otherwise. Our force,
too, is large enough to permit of your being waited upon without unreasonable delay.

The shower proof Foulard Silks that we show are Cheney’s, which

Blue, Coq Deroche—these are individual patterns.
Crepe de chine, the queen of silk fabrics and one of the most fashion-
able materials of the seeson, will be shown in the new shades.

No Advantage
Those who go to the city to do their
trading have no advantage over the
people who trade at this store. It
is out of the question for a city
store to sell goods cheaper than we
do—its expenses are much greater
than ours. If you have been going
to the city to trade or have been
sending away for your goods, we
urge you to give us an opportuni-
ty to prove the truthfulness of this
assertion. It will be mutually ad-
vantageous if you will do so. We
refund your money if goods bought
here are not exactly as represented
