NOTICE TO MEMBERS OF NORTH
PLAINS ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE
The Nominating Committee, appointed by the Board of
Directors of North Plains Electric Cooperative, Inc., met at
the Cooperative's headquarters located in Perryton, Texas.
March 5, 2013. Three Directors shall be elected by and from
the members at the 69th annual meeting of the Cooperative to
be held on April 15, 2013, for a term of three years. The
committee has prepared and posted at the Cooperative head-
quarters a list of nominations for Directors to be elected,
listing separately the nominee(s) for each directorate district.
Those nominated include:

District 4 Clay Tyson
District 5 Craig Young
The actions of this Committee in no way shall prevent addi-
tional nominations by petition as provided for in Section 4.06
of the Cooperative Bylaws. Any fifteen (15) or more
members of the Cooperative, acting together, may make addi-
tional nominations in writing over their signatures, listing
their nominee(s) in like manner, not less than fifteen (15)
days prior to the annual meeting and the Secretary shall post
such nominations at the same place where the list of nomina-
tions made by the committee is posted.

•4:33 am, alarm company reported silent alarm
triggered at local business. Deputy responded
and found customer has accidentally hit alarm.
•7:51 pm, caller stated two dogs were out and
one attempted to bite him, animal control called.
• 10:19 pm, caller requested deputy drive by be-
cause daughter heard noises while home alone.
Wednesday, March B
• 12:06 pm, deputies responded to calls reporting
stuck 18-wheeler blocking three lanes on US 60.
•4:33 pm, Miami caller requested to meet am-
bulance at fire station to assist with her husband,
who was having chest pains, EMS responded.
•10:25 pm, caTler requested deputy to resolve
a non-emergency domestic issue. Caller stated
girlfriend wanted to leave to go to motel with
children and he wanted her to stay. Deputy re-
sponded and solved issue by separation.
Thursday, March 7
•2:51 pm, sheriffs, DPS Troopers, EMS and Ca-
nadian VFD responded to two vehicle accident
on US 60. Towing service was called.
Friday, March 8
•7:59 am, caller reported truck driving recklessly,
deputy responded but was unable to locate.
• 12:22 pm, caller requested fire department for
vehicle fire in backyard of local residence. Cana-
dian VFD, EMS and deputies responded. Caller
had fire put out by the time they arrived.
•12:33 pm, caller reported wide-load truck all
over the roadway and running vehicles off road,
deputy responded and made traffic stop.
• 1:42 pm, walk-in reported vandalism of vehicle,
deputy responded and took report.
•4:47 pm, caller reported hit and run at post of-
fice, deputy responded.
•5:57 pm, caller reported people in progress of
fighting roosters. Deputies responded and ani-
mal control was also on scene.
Saturday, March 9
• 12:46 am, caller requested assistance after wife
had fallen and couldn’t stand on her own, deputy
responded.
•1:14 am, caller stated she was driving behind
pickup diving all over road on US 60, west of Mi-
ami, deputy responded.
•10:40 am, caller reported silver pickup travel-
ing all over roadway and forcing other vehicles
off roadway on US 83. Deputy responded and
administered sobriety test to driver. Subject
was not intoxicated but claimed to be extremely
tired.
• 11:02 pm, caller stated following pickupthat was
weaving on SH 70, deputy responded.
Sunday, March ID
• 12:29 am, caller reported concern about not lo-
cating her husband with health issues for several
hours. Deputy was unable to locate.
•2:25 pm, caller reported cow out by highway.
Cow owner was contacted.
•2:28 pm, caller reported stolen rims, deputy
responded.
•8:12 pm, caller stated she was having chest pains
and had history of heart disease, Deputy and
EMS responded, patient was taken to Hemphill
County Hospital.
Monday, March II
•6:28 caller stated he had been in wreck on SH 70
and person in other vehicle was injured. Deputy,
sheriff, Miami EMS and Miami Fire Department
responded. Patient transferred to Pampa Re-
gional Hospital.
•5:06 pm, deputy responded to couple needing
motorist assistance at local restaurant. Towing
service was called and couple were transported
to Pampa.

brings some rain
We had some warm temperatures in the reporting period of March 6 through 12, as
well as some mean March winds. They brought some rain though, with .17” registered
on Friday, March 8—the date of the high overnight temperature of 50.7 degrees—and
1” on Saturday, March 9. The highest wind speed was 46 mph on Sunday, March 10, at 2
pm from the northwest, the same date as the low daytime temperature of 42.1 degrees.
The low overnight temperature of 25.6 degrees occurred on Monday, March 11, the
same date as the lowest average wind speed of 3.3 mph from the west-northwest. The
high daytime temperature of 73.5 degrees was registered on Thursday, March 7.
