GAME OF THE WEEK
CLASS 2A

Owls highest
ranked small
class 3A school
Reagan County is probably sol-
idly entrenched in class 3A again
this year. The Owls turned in 347 in
average daily membership (ADM)
and the bottom cutoff for class 3A
last year was 285.
At the top end of the scale, it
won't be official until January 31,
but the Southlake Carroll 3A dy-
nasty is almost over. According to
JBC Pigskin Prep reports, the Drag-
ons will move up to class 4 A as will
several top teams in 3A this year.
The top cutoff figure last time
around was 714, and that number
could drop to 705 this year. How-
ever, Carroll turned in an official
ADM number of 758 this year.
Marble Falls, currently ranked
#3 in 3A also is well above the 714
mark. Lampasas. 7-0 on the year is
above the mark.
Based on data received from
school officials, Gainsville and
Graham arc both at an ADM of
714.25, putting each on the dividing
line.
Reagan County is the giant killer
in class 3A. The Owls are the
highest ranked, lowest ADM school
listed. David to SLCs Goliath.
Who knows.. .maybe this is the year.
