;■ Every Drop of Your Blood
Should Be Absolutely Pure ::
Any slight disorder or impurities
is a source of danger, as every vital
organ of the body depends upon the
blood supply to properly perform
its functions.
Many painful and dangerous dis-
eases are the direct result of a bad
condition of the blood. Among the
moet serious are Rheumatism, with
its torturing pain; Eczema. Tetter,
Erysipelas and other disfiguring
skin diseases; . general debility,
which makes the strongest men
helpless, and many other diseases
are the direct result of impure
blood.
You can in a large measure avoid
liability to disease by the use of
S. S. S., the wonderful blood rem-
edy that has been in constant use
for more than fifty years. S. S. S.
cleanses the blood thoroughly. It
is sold by druggists everywhere.

A meeting of the directors of the
Chamber of Commerce has been
called for tonight at which time a
few of the things which are inter-
fering with the paving will be dis-
cussed. The city commission and
other interested citizens have been
invited to attend the meeting. It
will be held at the city hall com-
mencing promptly at 7:30 o’clock.
The condition of some of the
water connections is causing the
Willlte people are having no end
of trouble from bursted water pipes
and it is possible that if the paving
Ls placed over the water lines in
their present condition the bursting
of pipes will later cause troubles
that will be expensive.
The pipes are either in a bad
condition or they are not properly
installed, is evident. Every time the
heavy roller passes over them a few
times, a leak shows up. Several have
bpen repaired but when the roller
hits the place again a new leak
comes to light.
W. M. Bunch, who was mayor at
the time the pa\ing started, in an
Interview Friday said: “The com-
mission passed an order requiring
the Water & Light Company to
make a complete inspection of the
water system in the district to be
paved and have their lines repaired
and placed in condition to receive
the paving. A written notice was
given the company at the time and
some of the lines were put in shape
but the full instructions of the com-
mission was not carried out or leak
In the pipes would not show up at
this time.”
The people feel that this trouble
should be remedied so that trouble
will be avoided in the future. The

LOCAL GOLFERS TAKE
MATCHES FROM RE8ORT8
One reason why golf is becoming
so popular is that when the base-
ball season is over, when the ex-
citement attendant on young married
life has passed and when a fellow
runs dry on- election talk there is
always something left that he can
tell you about his game. As a topic
of conversation it has no equal, and
as a querator of monomania it is in
a class by itself.
A man, no matter what hist age,
watches football, baseball or tennis;
but he plays golf. He .tells you
what he saw Ty Cobb or Tris Speak-
er do but when It comes to “Chick”
Evans—well, he’s “Chick” himself.
He eats golf, he dreams golf and he
plays golf.
Mineral Wells came down eleven
stiong to take the local bunch’s
measure. They returned sadder but
wiser. The local fire-eaters beat
them 32 up. However, good friends,
don’t imagine this was as easy as
it is to tell. Sad but true, they took
two matches to Weatherford’s four.
