Norman Lee (Tack) Fuson, 73,
%f Big Lake died in Big Spring at ihc
home of his daughter on Tuesday,
June 7, 1994 at 12:10 p.m. Mr.
Fuson died of natural causes after a
lengthy illness.
Services will be held in Big
Spring at Myers and Smith Funeral
Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday,
June 9, 1994 with Billy Patton of-
ficiating minister of Btrdwell Lane
Church of Christ and followed by
military graveside services at Glen
Rest Cemetery in Big Lake at 4:00

Mr. Fuson was bom February 10,
1921, in Pushmataha County
(Antler's) Oklahoma. His father and
mother were James Benjamin and
Maiden Etta (Rupe) Fuson formerly
of Andrews, Texas.
He served in the U.S. Army dur-
ing World War 11 as a medic and was
discharged on Nov. 10, 1945 as a
Staff Sgt. He received the bronze
star and purple heart in battle.
Tack married Sybil Elizabeth
^Moody on October 22, 1966. They
have been residing in Big Lake for
about 25 years and he was a contract
pumper.
Survivors include his widow,
Sybil, of Big Lake; two brothers,
O. E. Fuson of Plainvicw, Bill
Fuson of Carlsbad, NM; a sister,
Sue Clark of Andrews; one son,
David Fuson of Houston; four
daughters, Connie Boyd of Gail, Pat
Veld of San Angelo, Beverly
Massingill of Big Spring, Starr
Terrell of Conroe; one stepson,
Danny Whitehead of Hampton,
VA; one step-daughter, Wanda Aly
of Brownwood; twenty grandchil-
dren and sixteen great-grandchil-
dren. He is preceded in death by
three brothers, Arlis Fuson of Cali-
fornia, Ernest Fuson of Andrews,
and Loyd Fuson of Odessa; one
sister, Birttie Fuson; two sons,
Norman E. Fuson of Crane and
James Fuson.
Pallbearers will be Glen Bacon,
Bryan Boyd, James Ball, Billy
Massingill, Sky Massingill and
Michael Kelley. Honorary pall-
bearer will be Jon Fuson. All arc Mr.
Fuson's grandsons.
Services for Arsilo Agucro , 84,
of Big Lake, were held at 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday at the Apostolic
Temple in Big Lake. Burial fol-
lowed in Glen Rest Cemetery under
direction of Gutierrez Funeral
Chapels of San Angelo.
Mr. Agucro died Sunday, June 5,
1994, in a San Angelo hospital.
He was bom October 20,1909,in
Snyder. He was retired from the
railroad.
Survivors include his wife,
Flavia Subia Agucro of Big Lake;
two sons, Alfredo Agucro of
Mcrtzon and Efrcn Agucro of Big
Lake; three daughters, Lydia
Barrera of Big Lake, Rosa Owens of
Indiana and Consuclo Guzman of
San Jose, Calif.; three brothers,
Octaviano Agucro of Big Lake,
Dcmctrio Agucro of Pecos and
Zaragosa Agucro of San Angelo; a
sister. Ester Holguin of Abilene; 15
grandchildren; and six great-grand-
children.
Kara Champion graduated
summa cum laude and Phi Bela
Kappa from Baylor University on
May 14 with a degree in Speech and
Environmental Studies. She also
graduated with distinction from the
Honor’s Program.
Church college choir; Mortar
Board; Omicron Della Kappa; and
Alpha Chi.
Kara was chosen as an Out-
standing Freshman and Outstand-
ing Sophomore of Baylor Univer-
sity and was listed in Who’s Who
and the National Dean s List.

Kara has been awarded an
sistanLship to study speech commu-
nication at Wake Forest University
in Winston-Salem, North Carolina,
in the fall. She is the daughter of Syl
and LaNcll Champion and the niece
of John and Lana Beth Walts of Big
Lake.
Kara was awarded the Excel-
lence in Student Involvement
Award in May. While at Baylor, she
served as Senior Class Vice Presi-
dent; president and vice-president
of service of Alpha Phi Omega, a
co-cd service fraternity; and as a
secretary in the religion department
and for Baylor in the British Isles, a
foreign study-abroad program.
She was also involved in B.S.U.
Players, a Christian drama group;
the Columbus Avenue Baptist
Thank You Big hike for warmly accepting me
into thus community. You have made living in
Big hike great for me which makes it all the
more difficult to say goodbye. You will main-
tain a warm place in my heart all the way to
Hong Kong!

Buster Runion, 81, of Big Lake
died on June 7, 1994 in Reagan
County Care Center in Big Lake.
Services will be at Bethel Baptist
Church in Big Lake. Friday, June
10, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev.
G. Barnard and assisted by Rev.
Bob Carpenter and Rev. Dale
Dozier. Burial will follow in Glen
Rest Cemetery. Johnson's Funeral
Home is handling arrangcmcnLs.
"Buster" Runion was born
March 17, 1913 in Memphis, Ten-
nessee. He married Mary Lee May
on November 17, 1940 in Melvin,
Texas. He was a self-employed car-
penter and a member of Bethel
Baptist Church of Big Lake. The
Runions moved to Big Lake in
1946.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Lee
Runion of the home; one sister,
Marie Kirkland of San Angelo and
one brother, Kenneth Runion of
Corsicana and several nieces and
nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mario
Martinez, Raymond Pena, Sam
Williams, Bum McReavy, Dale
Callcy and Jim Richmond.
The family requests memorials
to American Lung Association or to
a favorite charity.
Services for Holland Johnson,
83, of Meadow were held June 1st in
First Baptist Church vuth Clctus
Caswell officiating. Kenneth
McClure, pastor, assisted, and
burial was in Meadow Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson died May 28lh in
Brownfield Nursing Home.
He was bom in Cumby, Texas,
December 26th, 1910, where he
married Ona Lee Head on Decem-
ber 27th, 1926. She died in July of
1989. The couple moved to
Meadow early in their marriage
where Johnson engaged in farming
and ginning until he retired in 1972.
He was a member of the First Bap-
tist Church.
Survivors include two sisters,
Mrs. Irene Henson of Sulphur
Springs and Mrs. Buena Brewer of
Visalia, C A., and several nieces and
nephews, including Joe and Rcta
Johnson of Big Lake.
