McCamey January 5 to
battle the McCamey
Badgers. The Owls lost,
in a tight overtime gam/
by the score of 38-42.
Missy Goodioe proved
to be outstanding by
taking all 3 honor posi-
tions: top hustler, top
rebounder, and high
pointer. Missy scored 11
points and had 13 re-
bounds.
Shelly Bitner and
J'Lee Havis scored 6
points each while Connie
Aguilar and Keta
O' Briant scored 5 points
apiece. Audra Custer
scored 3 and Isabel Por*
tales scored 2 points.
The freshman girls'
next basketball game is
January 26 here with
Monahans at the RCHS
gym.

RCHS seniors met
Tuesday to discuss or-
dering invitations. Glen
GerlofT of Balfour Com-
pany in San Angelo will
handle the orders.
Each graduation an-
noucement costs 294,
and souvenir announce-
ments are S2.95 each.
Thank-you notes in a
box of 25 cost $3.50; they
come in white, blue, or
sand. The engraved per-
sonal name cards are
100 for S6.75; 200 for
$9.75; 300 for $11.25;
and 400 for $12.50.
Mr. Gerloff will also
sell class jewelry;
charm, $4.95; key chain
$6.45; bracelet, $6.85;
necklace, $8.50; fashion
chain, $8.50; florentine
chain, $8.50; and class
numerals for $4.95 to
$8.50.
Items are available in
three package groups;
Supet, Standard, and
Essential.
The Super contains
100 announcements,
200 name cards, a mem-
ory album, a deluxe ap-
preciation folder, 2 sou-
venir announcements.
TFA Tournament Results

Five members of the
RCHS Speech Team
were among the 250
entrants at the Texas
Forensic Association
Speech Tournament in
McCamey January 9 and
10. Most of the entrants
were debaters, although
there were at least eigh-
teen entries in every oth-
er event.
This year is the first
year for our speech team
to be involved in TFA
competition. The team
has competed in Odessa
and McCamey and will
compete in the Tech
Tournament at Lubbock
in February.
Competing in the sev-
eral events were Julie
Hunt, dramatic interpre-
Guire, extemporaneous
speaking; Donna Hol-
den, humorous interpre-
tation; Paul Ducsing,
extemporaneous speak-
ing; and Jackie Harris,
prose reading.
Tangcla McGuire re-
ceived fourth place in
her event and will be
traveling to Arlington,
Texas, to compete in
TFA State on March 21.
Joining her on the trip
will be Donna Holden,
who was ranked first
alternate in humorous
interpretation.

piece of apple pie.
Rex Evans of Greenwood and his coach Bill Jordan came in
2nd this year in the basketball tournament. Evans was
named Most Valuable player of the tourney over all other
players.
