November 6, 1962 is a very important date in our lives in that on that occa-
sion we have the opportunity to exercise our right to vote. To assure our-
selves of this franchise it seems to me that as responsible citizens we should
work to elect to office those candidates who are best qualified. It is our duty
as responsible citizens to inform ourselves as best we can-of the platforms,
issues and candidates — and then to vote, because failure to do so could
result in consequences not representative of the true will of the majority.
One very important office to be considered by the voters of Reagan County
•n November 6, is that of County Attorney, a position which I: seek seriously
because I recognize the importance of the job and because I fed that therein
I can serve you well, and If elected I here do pledge that ih ail ways I will do
just that. Moreover, my experience in the post should inure to Reagan Coun-
ty’s benefit: formerly Assistant State's Attorney General, Assistant District
Attorney of Dallas County, and Assistant General Counsd for the Texas
State Bar, the latter being the organization of all lawyers in Texas. I there-
fore solicit yoaur support and vote.
We are all nwrally free agents, each with a mind of his own. but lot’s he of
one mind when we think of our right to vote — and let’s revere such right
enough to exercise it aa November 6.
