of compliance since they see

Providers also suggested
a common misconception
about hospice care interferes
with treatment.
Medicare and Medicaid
pay 100 percent of the costs
of hospice care.
For clients with end-stage
COPD, hospice providers
can better control the pa-
tients condition, allowing
them to live an average of
87 days longer, one provider
said during a public hearing
, Thursday.
By managing the disease
process, we can reduce the
need for hospitalization and
the $50,000 in costs per di-
agnosis,
Polk County is served by
58 different home health
providers, but most families
don’t know how to differenti-
ate between them.
