Samuel D. Teague, Jr.,
age 57, passed away Oct.
7, 2013 in San Antonio,
Texas.
He was born May 16,
1956 in Plainview, Texas,
one of a set of triplets. He
was always a gracious
and giving man, making
sure family came first and
was proud to be known
as Grumpy Grandpa! He
was the BEST air traffic
controller at San Antonio
International Airport for
27 years, so much so, he
was gladly burdened with
training his inferiors to
attaining his modest pro-
fessionalism.
Samuel humbly ac-
cepted the title of Wet-
more City Limits Supreme
Leader, and ultimate
drink connoisseur. After
becoming a bar league
enthusiast, he quickly
arose as the pool shooting
expert and chief shuffle-
board ace. As an avid dis-
ciple of education in the
areas of religion and spiri-
tuality, he quickly became
a mentor in human mor-
als, political sense and all
genres of trivia. He loved
old movies, reading and
all sports, rooting for his
Cowboys no matter what,
and always the Spurs!
He is preceded in
death by his dad, Samuel
D. Teague, Sr. and his
brother Daniel W. Teague.
Samuel is survived
by his wife, Teri Teague;
children, Nathan Teague
and wife Traci, Andrew
Teague, Sarah Simek and
husband Joshua; mom,
Marilyn Teague; sister,
Diane Isch and husband
Doyle; brother, Gavin
Teague; eight grand-
children, Brynlee, Xe-
thyn, Mayvin, Jakstyn,
Cashtyn, Joshua, Daizy
and Jet.
The family received
friends from 10 a.m. to
12 p.m., Saturday, Oc-
tober 12, 2013, at Porter
Loring Mortuary North.
Arrangements were with
Porter Loring Morturary
North of San Antonio.

of Amarillo died Tuesday,
Oct. 8, 2013.
Services were held
Friday, Oct. 11, in Llano
Cemetery with arrange-
ments by Cox Funeral
Home of Amarillo.
Montella was born
March 12, 1922, in Nowa-
ta, Okla., to Jesse and
Misha Martin. She gradu-
ated from Phillips High
School in 1942. She mar-
ried Louis Ervin “L.E.”
Thaxton in January 1945
in Stinnett. She had been
a resident of Amarillo for
more than 60 years.
She was preceded in
death by her husband; a
brother, J.L. Martin; and
her youngest daughter,
Marilyn Joyce Reynolds.
Survivors include two
daughters, Erma McPher-
son and husband Joel of
Amarillo and Carolyn
Wade and husband War-
ren of Mesquite; seven
grandchildren, Joella
McPherson of Amarillo,
Amy Reed and husband
Kelly of Panhandle, Brent
McPherson and wife
Kristin of Yorktown, Va.,
Stephanie Wellman of
Mesquite, Curtis Wade
and wife Paige Janca
of Rockwall, Michael
Reynolds of Spearman
and Jeffery Reynolds and
wife Katja of Amarillo;
10 great-grandchildren,
Marissa McKinney and
husband Michael of Mes-
quite, Jordan Buck Reed
and Kayley Reed of Pan-
handle, Chelsey Wellman
of Mesquite, Tiffany and
Megan Reynolds of Ama-
rillo, Taylor and Brenden
McPherson of Yorktown
and Madison and Cam-
mie Wade of Rockwall;
and a great-great-grand-
son, Caleb McKinney of
Mesquite.
The family would like
to express their sincere
thanks to Interim Hospice
for the care given to her.

sic Ministry.
