Selecting an Agent
it's important to not only choose the right insurance
coverage but, more importantly, to select the ideal insurance
agent. As an agent, it is my responsibility to make sure you
make the most informed decision when determining your
insurance needs. To help you find the right agent and
insurance company, here are some helpful tips I'd like to
share.
How do I find the right agent or agency?
* Ask your friends and neighbors. They will most likely know
the reputation of different agencies in your area,
* If you are new to the community, there may be a referral
service available through the local Chamber of Commerce
or real estate agency.
* Call the agency and ask questions. Find out about the
products they offer, their financial stability, how many
years the agency has been in business, their office hours
and where they are located.
What kind of facts should I be looking for when searching
for an insurance company?
* What A.M. Best rating does the company have? Best's
ratings are recognized worldwide as the benchmark
for assessing insurers' financial strength and reflect an
in-depth knowledge of the insurance industry.
* How long have they been in business? An insurance
company that has been in business for many years tends
to be more financially secure.
* Check out the company's website. It's a great way to learn
more.
As a Germania representative, I want you to make the best
insurance decision. Should you have any questions, want to
review your existing coverage, or if you need coverage,
please feel free to call me.

sodium,” said Jeanene
Montgomery, AgriLife
Extension family and
consumer sciences agent
for Carson County.
Classes will begin
each day at 6:30 p.m.,
with the series continu-
ing on Oct. 15, 22 and 28,

as the night ended early
(at halftime) due to se-
vere weather and left the
Bucks on the short side
of the score at 36-6. How-
ever, the score was not in-
dicative of the game as the
Buck defense forced Hap-
py to convert on fourth
down several times and
saw Andrew Bichsel stop
a Cowboy drive with an
interception and 27 yard
return. Teak Forney led
the Bucks on offense with
73 yards on 10 carries.
The Bucks will host
the Hedley Owls on Oct.

In 2003, AgriLife Ex-
tension developed Cook-
ing Well with Diabetes to
reinforce the practical ap-
plication of the nutrition
and self-care educational
series, Do Well, Be Well
with Diabetes.
“Cooking Well with
Diabetes is designed to
help not only the per-
son with diabetes, but
also anyone who pre-
pares food for those with
diabetes,” Montgomery
said. By selecting cre-
ative techniques when
teaching nutrition con-
cepts, AgriLife Extension
