A howlin' good time
The Port Aransas nightclub
scene is traditionally one of
the favoritp haunfc of the
Halloween costume crowd,
and this year was no excep-
tion. Bartenders, waitresses,
owners and guests flitted and
flapped through local clubs,
and several of the establish-
ments offered various cos-
tume contests, live music
and other special events to
mark the occasion. Although
the bar scene is by law res-
tricted to only those of legal
drinking age, a few younger
spooks were caught in the
act at the Anchorage Res-
taurant, bottom right, as they
dropped in for a little trick-
or-treating. All in all, Hallo-
ween night around Port
Aransas was a howling good
time. (Staff photos by Paul

data processing and personnel.
“He’s got an attitude toward law
enforcement and police administra-
tion that agrees with mine,” Beck
said. "I think he’s what the citizens
of Port Aransas want as a police
chief. This guy will do an excellent
job."
