Smith County Shipped First Crate of
Peaches From Bullard
Peaches have started to move and
Mr Sam Langley of Billiard shipped
the first crate > esterday via Pacific
Express from that point
The first crate out or Tyler was
shipped this morning by A S Stokes
a colored farmer living three miles
from town and sold for 250 for the
crate
Both of the above shipments were
of the Sneed variety and were sound
and sufficiently ripe for shipping
Mr Sam langley Is one of the most
prominent farmers and fruit raisers
In Smith county and he has not
missed for several years being the
first to ship out peaches
It will now only be a short time
until peaches will be plentiful and
the express company will be taxed to
take care of the fruit and then will
come the car lot movements with the
