MORE MONEY LOST
Its bad to lose money to be sep-
arated from hard cash without an
equivalent or hope of its return Its
doubly bad I reckon to lose it via
the medium of the little spotted cards
tis bad to lose it by a lapse in judg-
ment on the nimblefooted racer or
by reason ot a friends short vote
tis bad to lose it no matter how by
careless self or by shrewd opposers
detty dealing but worse than his
than these than all is the thought

glided by and with unstinted hand
lavished favors on the other fellow
These useless cogitations aie sug-
gested by the piles of money I have
lost by the delay in offering M M M
and THE CHILDS FRIEND to a long-
suffering and patient public
Here I am my years fully half
gone and just now initiating a
scheme which if fitly managed and
financed would make a foitune
which in comparison would make
Rockefeller fell like a defeated candi-
date the day after election
However I gather consolation fiom
the thought that even at this late
date while the shadows aie lengthen-
ing eastwaid by close attention to
business I may be able to keep meal
in the barl and the chilun going
to choir practice
Nevertheless dont forgot that a
