Rodgers with a series of girl murders
which baffled the police of Dayton

containing the sworn testimony of
Carrie Middlestetter of Dayton The
marshal thinks evidence can be found
showing that Carr is connected with
a number of murders where the girls
were victims Carr lived at the home
of the Middlsetter woman who was
completely under his control and she
refused to talk until she kney that

Morse a prominent young business
man of this city was shot three times
and instantly killed today by Ger-
trude Douglas in the office of the
American Dry Cleaning company The
woman made her escape after firing
the deadly shots but was later cap-
tured by the police She was greatly
agitated and declared that Morse had
caused her ruin and then deserted
her She said Morse had been going
with her for the past nine years and
declared that she would not be thrown
off and let him live
