simple family casserole dish in-
to something special by baking

For sure success, start with
a recipe with flavor appeal for
the whole family. Salmon Aspa-
ragus Cheese Bake is a hearty
"combination of two long-stand-
ing favorites, salmon and aspa-
ragus, with a delectable sauce
made with cottage cheese, green
pepper, onion, and mushroom
soup.
To complete that special tou-
ch, each individual casserole is
topped with crisp chow mein
noodles before it’s popped into
the oven to bake.
Salmon Asparagus Cheese Bake
Serves 4-6
1 samll onion, chopped
1-4 cup chopped green pepper
2 tablsepoons butter
1-2 cup chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons butter
1-2 teaspoon salt
1-4 teaspoon pepper
1 (10 1-2 ounce) can conden-
sed cream of mushroom
soup
1 14 cups cottage cheese
1 (1 lb.) can salmon, drained
and boned
1 (10 ounce) package, frozen
cut-up asparagus, partially
cooked
Chow mein noodles
Cook onion and green pepper
mushroom soup, and cottage
cheese. Simmer for ten minutes.
In buttered individual casser-
oles or 1 1-2 quart casserole, al-
ternate Vaywers of salmon, as-
paragus, and sauce. Top with
chow mein noodles. Bake
350 degree oven Cor 30 minutes

To serve, lift fish with paper
and slide fish onto platter. Ser-
ve baked fish with White Sau-
ce, White Sauce with eggs, to-
mato Sauce, Borwn Almond Sa-
uce, Onion Sauce, Almond But-
ter Sauce, Drawn Butter Sauce,
Horse-radish Sauce etc.
2 cups fine soft bread crumbs
1 teaspoon grated onion
1-2 cup chopped celery
1 tablespoon lemon jiice
1-2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons water
Combine Ingredients lightly
but thoroughly.
Shrimp Stuffing
2 tablespoons butter
1-2 tablespoon waiter
1 teaspoon anchovy paste
1 cup soft bread crumbs
2 teaspoons chopped olives
1-2 cup minced boiled shrimp
14 teaspoon grated onion
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Heat butter, water and ancho-
vy paste together until butter is
melted. Add to bread crumbs
with remaining Ingredients.
