ded Roy Cusack. Mark Fischer.
Kenny Kacir and Pat Clarke
won second in the free - style
relay race. Chuck Fischer won
a first place for Troop 243 in
the individual free - style race.
A four - man team composed
of Mark Fischer, Pat Clarke.
Kenny Kacir and Chuck Fisc-
her won second in an extremely
close relay race to complete the
final event of the meet.
In overall point standings,
Troop 243 amassed a total of
29 points to win second place in
overall standings. Troop 241
had a total of 31 points to win
first place.
Approximately ten troops com-
peted from a four - county area
which comprises the Live Oak
District.
A11 three Cuero troops, 241,
243 anti 245 participated.
Boys from Cuero who took
part made a good showing for
their respective troops, Hamil-
ton said.
Members of 243 will make a
trip this Friday, leaving about
1:30 p.m. ami returning Satur-
day at 4 p.m.
Accompanying the troop will
be Louis Grander, George Kes-
eling and Hamilton. They will
ramp overnight at Alamo Beach
and will enjoy swimming, boat-
ing and fishing.
Each boy is asked to bring a
sack lunch, their own bedroll
and a cot.
Only two more openings are
left in 243 for boys over eleven
years of age. Meeting hours are
each Monday night at 7 o'clock
at the old St. Michael’s School
building. Meetings adjourn at
9 p m.
Boys interested in joining may
tome to the meetings to Join,
Hamilton said.
"Mary activities are planned
for the next several months, so
feel free to investigate Troop
243 Scouting program and join
in the adventures of Boy Scout-
ing", Hamilton said.
