KARNES CITY, Tex.. May 15. -
A speech on American Liberties by
State Senator John J. Bell will be
heard behind the Iron Curtain.
County Judge W. S. Pickett of
Karnes County disclosed that Sen-
ator Bell's speech before a gather-
ing of several thousand visitors at
the 100th anniversary celebration
at the Polish community of Panna
Marie last Sunday will be broad-
cast to Poland over Radio Free Eu-
rope.
The speech was recorded by rep-
-esentatives of Polish groups in
e United States.
Senator Bell, a candidate for the
14th District congressional post, is
Cuero attorney, farmer and
ncher. During the recent spec-
ial session of the Texas Lgislature,
he guided the Texas Communist
Contral Act into law.
