Welcome to Cuero, Legion-
naires of the 14th district.
We hope that you are enjoy-
ing your stay and that you
will come back soon.
It is hoped that the conven-
tion can be followed up in
Cuero by one of the most
successful membership cam-
paigns Dinter Post has ever
conducted.
Membership is the deep well
of all accomplishments not
only of The American Legion
but of any organization. Ac-
complishments grow out of
actions. Actions are produced
by manpower. Dinter Post
American Legion needs more
manpower. If you are an elig-
ible veteran, join your bud-
dies in the worth-while job
they are doing. Join your
American Legion.

School authorities, joined
by county authorities, have
announced that the compul-
sory school attendance law
will be rigidly enforced in
Cuero this year.
It should be enforced.
Children should not be de-
nied the right to attend
school. It is for their own pro-
tection, their own future, that
they should be forced to at-
tend school, if force is neces-
sary.

Quite a number bf Cuero re-
tail grocers and their families
are planning to be in Victoria
this afternoon for a get to-
gether of grocers of the Vic-
toria district, Texas Retail
Grocers Association, and they
are promised an interesting
time.
A barbecue at 6 30 followed
by a dance at the Club West-
erner are the entertainment
features.
