NICK CAMERON
Baseball and working in the
garden and around the yard pro-
vide Nick Cameron, owner of
Cuero Butane Ga§ Company with
complete relaxation and there is
perhaps no more ardent baseball
fan in Cuero. Nick is a native of
Liberty, Texas, a World War 11
veteran and has been in business
in Cuero since 1946. His attractive
co-worker is Belle Cameron, his
wife.

working in the yard.
He is a native of Alvarado, Tex-
* as, a graduate of Southwestern
University and has been in Cuero
since 1922. Bass is owner of Bass
Shoe Store, is active in the Me-
thodist church, being Sunday
School superintendent, and mem-
ber of the Southwest Texas Confer-
ence board of lay activities.
He is the father of a fine son,
Frank Bass Jr. Mrs. Bass passed
away in 1931.
E. B. MORRISON JR.
E. B. Morrison Jr., superintend-
ent of Cuero schools, has a host
of hobbies including fishing, hunt-
ing, rodeos and ice shows, but
the hours with his 7 year old son
perhaps provide him with his
greatest pleasure.
Morrison is a native of Shelby
county, a graduate of Llano high
where his father now-lives and is
a Justice of the Peace. He serv-
ed in the armed forces from 1942
to 1945 and came to Cuero in
1948.
RAT F. KATZMARK
Ray F. Katzmark. popular young
pharmacist chooses as his hobby
music and the collection of phono-
graph records. He is director of
the Lutheran Youth choir.
Katzmark was bom in San An-
tonio, educated in San Antonio
schools and later attended North
Texas State and the University of
Texas. j

The Rev. James C. Soutar, Rec-
tor of Grace Episcopal church has
varied hobbies ranging from col-
lecting rare coins and oil paint-
ings to closely following the suc-
cess ot the Detroit Tiger baseball
team.
He is a U. S. Navy veteran and;
has lived in six different states, j
Rev. Soutar came to Cuero to
assume the pulpit at Grace Church j
j only recently but is rapidly mak- J
ing a wide circle of friends.
DICK BROOKS
You wouldn't think that a man j
who spends as much time work-
ing with boys on the athlete field,
as does Dick Brooks, would be
interested in collecting historical
books, but that Is his hobby . . .
along with athletics of course.
Brooks is Freshman Athletic
coach and Physical Education
and General Science teacher in
Cuero Public schools. He is a war
veteran and a graduate of the
University of Texas where he
made quite a record incidentally
as a track man.
LEON T. KRUSE

Kruse asks for his recreation.
Kruse is part owner of Farmbilt
Mills and is a nalivo of Shiner,
Texas. He is a graduate of Cuero
High and served four and one half
years in the air force, .joining
Farmbilt Mills after the war.
ALBERT B. LEY
One of Cuero's best known gro-
cers, Albert B Ley picks horse
back riding and rodeos for his
hobby, anti is at this time vice-
president of the Cuero Rodeo Asso-
ciation. He is owner of A. B. Ley
Ffxjdcraft Market and active in
community affairs. Ley is a native
of Cuero and was educated in
Cuero schools. He is married and
has two fine sons, Albert Ldward
and Carrol Eugene.
