the amount of compressed air
that passes through a 50-grain
sample. Coarse fibers permit
more air to pass threxigh, so the
finer the fiber, the lower the
Mik" reading.
Mike readings will be report-
ed. in a scale that ranges from
2.4 to 8.0. on the green Classi-
fication Card, right along with
grade and staple.
Ginners who do not apply for
the Mike service will continue
to get their rot ton classed free
