held August 18-23 in two of Dal-
las’ leading hotels. Accompan-
ied to Big D by Mr. Smith, the
couple combined business and

These buyers viewed fashions
for the holiday season which will
be more readily identified by
falsie and color than by silhou-
ette. Crepes with texture inter-
est will share the spotlight with
surahs and linen weaves. New-

Family Reunion
Held Recently
At Lindenau
The first Wolter family reun-
ion was held Sunday. August
25, at (he lindenau Rifle Club,
with twenty-six families attend-
guests. Others assist** to the
house party were Misses San-
dra Smith, Beverly Meurer, Li-
nda Mi Her and Nan Ntml.

Janak of HaHettsville, also a
brother of the bride, was groom-

Witnesses were Ed SchefQer,
Houston, and Bill Bludau of
HaHettsville.
Entering with her father, the
bride chose a street length dress
of white satin with lace appli-
ques and pearls ait the neckline
and over the skirt. She wore a
mantilla of Chantilly lace. Her
gloves and satin slippers were
white. The bride carried a bou-
quet of white chrysanthemums
centered with a purple orchid.
A bridal supper was given by
the bride’s parents at Wied Hall
in HaHettsville. The wedding
cake was a white colonnade
with yellow detailing and was
topped by a miniature bride and
groom.
The bride’s travel attire was
a hunter green embroidered cot-
ton knit dress with black acces-
sories. She were an orchid cor-
sage.
After a wedding trip to the
Hill Country, the couple fa at
home at 1008 E. Church Street,
Cuero.
The bride is a licensed Voca-
tional Nurse at Cuero Hospital
Foundation, and the groom is
office manager for (he Founda-
tion.

Mias Anita Janak, daughter of
I Mr. and Mrs. Emil Janak at
HaHettsville, became the bride
at Marvin Jack Oordes, son of
Mr. Marvin J. Gardes of West-
hoff and the late Mrs. Oordes,
in a double ring Nupital Mass
ceremony in Saint Mtehael’s Cat-
holic Church in Cuero Saturday,
August toe twenty-fourth, at four
o'clock in the afternoon, with
the Rev. John Flynn officiating.
Mrs. Louis Sciba offered the
traditional wedding music.
White and yellow chrysanthe-
mums and gladioli graced the
main altar.
Miss Margie Rainosek of Hou-
ston served the bride a« maid
of honor, and Miss Jeanette
G.eer of HallsttsviUe, the
bride's cousin, was bridesmaid.
Their dresses of Jade green sa-
tin were street length and their
headdresses were green bows
with matching tulle. They wore
yellow gloves and green slipp-
ers. Each carried a bouquet of
yellow chrysanthemums.
Jerome Janak of Victoria,
brother of the bride, attended
Fred Walter of Lindenau led
the devotion after which a cov-
ered dish luncheon was served.
Mrs. Oscar Schtinke was the
oldest member attending, and
her great grandchild, Judy
Johns at San Antonio, the youn-
gest. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Wolter
of Odessa traveled the greatest
distance for the reunion.
During a brief business meet-
ing Oscar Wolter of Westhoff
was elected president, and Mrs.
R. F. Johnson of Corpus Chris-
