Dear Gals:
Know those flimsy nylon
nightgowns that have an over-
skirt of filmy stuff? When they
wear out, don’t throw one piece
of it away.
Cut it off and use it in the
bathtub or shower for bathing.
Fantastic And gals, does it
ever scrub!
Wonderful for dish rags. Fan-
to sprinkle on top of cake icing?
Or crushed dry cereal as a
substitute for nuts in cooki s ?
And one of my young;' r
loves — cocoa vanilla in
white farina cereal! ■

Dear Heloise;
If you have a fancy dusting
powder container but have u
ail the powde r,, don't throw it
away.
Buy a can of baby talcum
powder, turn it upside down,
remove the bottom plate with
a bottle opener and pour tbw
contents into the pretty con-
tainer. It's that easy!

Dear Heloise; j
I have a suggestion to make j
for a rainy-day game for young j
children.
Bubble bath soap comes In
the shape of a variety of cha- j
racters.
I found that my four-year-okl
grandson loves "bawling"
♦hem, using a ten cent plastic j
ball as a bowling ball.
It doesn't waste the soap i
'cause he eventually uses it lor I

Dear Heloise;
I've found that you have to
handle all belts with core.
I do ea.-h by hand in sudsy
water and just strip the water j
out with my thumb and fore-j
finger, rinse and strip again.
When dry. I press them on

I needed a small clothes
hamper just for slips, gowns,
and stockings — tilings that arc
supposed to be washed by hand,
I saved a large, family-size
washing powder box, one that
has t handle on the top. Cut
the top on only three sides,
leaving a flap with handle, and
covered the beat and top with
