The Lesters in concert
at Church of R azarene
The Lesters will be in
concert on Sunday, May 18,
at 6 p.m. at the Nocona
Church of the Nazarene in
Nocona. A free-will offering
will be taken.
The Lesters, from St.
Louis, Mo., often called “St.
Louis’ First Family of
Gospel Music,” have been
sharing the Word through
song for four generations.
With more than an 80 year
history and numerous
albums behind them, the
group proudly brings the
third and fourth generation
to the stage for a sound that
is 100% - “PURE LESTER”.
Tmly, the Lesters are “A
Family for the Family.”
Their signature sound is a
blend of inspired arrange-
ments and vocal artistry, led
by longtime performer Brian
Lester. Brian, who also
serves as emcee and manag-
er, has been singing with the
family since he was four. His
vibrant voice and easy rap-
port with audiences minis-
ters to young and old alike.
As a fourth generation
performer, Jonathan Lester
brings a real freshness to the
group. Like his father, Brian,
Jon was “bom to sing,” per-
forming at a very young age.
But he remains inspired by
the generations of Lesters
who went before him and by
the message of God’s eternal
grace.
Newest addition to The
Lesters is vocalist Justin
Wells. Justin is an extremely
talented young man with an
extraordinary voice, as well
as an accomplished musi-
cian. He has been on staff as
worship leader at the Church
of the Nazarene in Science
Hill, Ken., for the last sever-
al years. His heart’s desire
as he joing with “the family”
is to share the joy of know-
ing Christ through song and
testimony.
The Lesters take pride in
their family heritage, but
consider God’s greater fami-
ly as the real reason for their
