Passenger dies after
car strikes wild hog
Graham woman
suffers fatal heart
after wreck
By CHRIS AGEE

GRAFORD - A Graham
woman died shortly after a sin-
gle-vehicle rollover Tuesday
morning, though authorities are
unsure whether the crash or an
underlying medical condition
was the cause of her death.
The incident occurred
around 2:45 a.m. on State
Highway 337, about 120 feet
north of Sikes Street, in
Graford.
Department of Public Safety
Trooper Gary Rozzell said
Catarina Hernandez, 36, of
Graham, was driving a 2009
Toyota Corolla south on the
highway when she struck a
wild hog on the road.
The vehicle then entered a
bar ditch on the west side of
the highway, rolled over and
came to rest facing northwest,
Rozzell said.
Hernandez and her passen-
ger, Cista Deleon Hernandez,
66, of Graham, were transport-
ed by Graford and Possum
Kingdom EMS, respectively, to
Palo Pinto General Hospital.
Rozzell said the passenger
was subsequently taken to a
Fort Worth hospital but suf-
fered a fatal heart attack later
Tuesday.
According to DPS reports,
the deceased was on her way to
undergo a medical procedure at
the time of the crash.
Authorities reportedly
ordered an autopsy as part of
an ongoing investigation.
