• CASA-HOPE FOR
CHILDREN this month will
offer “Grief Recovery for
Children” training for
CASA’s volunteer advo-
cates and anyone in the
community to attend. This
training is based on the
“Grief Recovery Method”
and will utilize the book,
“When Children Grieve.”
The training will be con-
ducted by Barb Tucker,
CASA-Hope for Children
Executive Director, who is
a certified grief recovery
specialist, and has been
working with foster children
for over 25 years. An infor-
mational meeting about
the training is 6-7 p.m.

Activities for Kids/Vacation
Bible School on June

year’s theme is “Weird
Animals - Where Jesus’
Love is One-of-a-Kind.”
Children who have com-
pleted grades 1-6 will par-
ticipate in SMAK and will
work all week to perform a
musical Friday night, June
20th. Children will spend
time learning music,
drama, choreography,
Bible stories, and more!
Cost for SMAK is $10 ($11
for online payment) and
covers the cost of the
T-shirt that the children will
wear during their perfor-
mance. Children ages
4-kindergarten will partici-
pate in Vacation Bible
School. VBS will feature
some of the same music,
Bible stories, and fun as
SMAK. Cost for VBS is
free, but T-shirts are
