during this past week. The
Seales were formerly neigh-
bors of the Bellinghausen’s
in Knox City.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Schlabs
celebrated their 43rd wed-
ding anniversary by being
taken out to dinner by their
grandsons, Mr. and Mrs.
Mike Schlabs and Neil and
Barbara.

Lawrence Schlabs attended a
called Dioscesan Boardmeet-
ing at Gainesville on Tues-
day, Nov. 18.

Okla., to celebrate Thanks-
giving with the parents of
Mrs. Walter Schlabs, Mr.

Mrs. Lawrence Schlabs over
the Thanksgiving holidays.

garet Vieth and Jerry Smith
here in Scotland.

Thomas Schreiber, Jr.,
came home from school in
Subiaco, Ark., for the
Thanksgiving holidays and
to attend the Schreiber-Rig-
gins wedding. He returned
to Arkansas on Sunday, Dec.
1, with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. T. A. Schreiber and
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ernest Schreiber of Wind-
thorst.
Mr. Ernest Sughrue is in
the Bethania Hospital in
Wichita Falls in Room 311.

eral days with her son and

Scotland. A large number of
out-of-town guests attended
the wedding.

of Mr. and Mrs. Dillard
Schenk was a participant in
the FFA Sweetheart Pageant
in Vernon. Sharlotta came in
as second runner-up in the
pageant.

Fort Worth, the nephew of
Nora and Cecilia Ordener,
visited with them over
Thanksgiving.

Mrs. Paul Schenk was her
son and family, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Schenk and chil-
dren, Lorena, Roch, Hank,
and Abraham of Shattuck,
Okla.
PERSONAL
Mrs. Frank Walsh spent
last week and the Thanks-
giving holidays with her fa-
ther, R. F. Thomas in Ar-
lington. The local visitor was
joined there by her son, Jer-
ry of Chicago, his son, Corey
and a friend Miss Patricia
Scott also of Chicago. The
families were Thanksgiving
day guests of Mrs. Walsh’s
sister and family, Mrs. M.
L. Young in Arlington.

Thanksgiving Day guests
in the Louis Schroeder, Sr.,
home were the Jim Poirot
family of San Marcos, who
also spent the weekend; the
Louis Schroeder, Jr., family
of Watauga; and the Danny
Joe Schroeders of here.
Special guests were mothers
of the Schroeders, Mrs.
Rose Schroeder and Mrs.
Elizabeth Hoffman of Scot-
land. 7he Allen Eaves family
visited her parents here sev-
eral weeks ago, so were not
able to return for Thanks-
giving; they were in Silsbee
visiting Allen’s family.

Mr. and Mrs. Reubin Jen-
kins and four children of
Saginaw and Mr. and Mrs.
Emil Pavelka and two sons
of San Antonio and Mr. and
Mrs. Gaude Hoff and Mrs.
Lillian Theole and Mrs. Hen-
rietta Turpin of Wichita
Falls were all Thanksgiving
Day dinner guests in the
Tony Hoff home. The
Pavelkas spent the whole
weekend which gave four-
year-old David the exciting
chance to see and play in the
snow while here.

Two important events are
on the slate for this coming
weekend. On Saturday from
10 until 3 p.m., the Red
Cross Bloodmobile will be
collecting pints of life at the
K of C Hall. Let’s try to top
our record of other years.
Your important contribution
will be appreciated.
On Sunday the Knights of
Columbus will hold th*ir
annual sausage supper. Lots
of homemade sausage with
the trimmings will be served
starting at noon. Everyone
invited!
