In a twilight ceremony read
Thursday evening, Feb. 15,
Lucile Davison, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. K. S. Davison of 101
East New Mexico street, be
came the bride -of Master1 Serg-
eant Julius Kubena at Camp
Howie, Brownwood.
The couple exchanged wed-
ding vows in the post chapel
before an altar decoration of
white wedding tapers in bran-
ched floor candolabras. Palms
completed the decorations.
The chape! organist gave the
wedding music from Mendels-
solm and played Ava Maria
(Schubert). During the vows he
played softly "Ah. Sweet Mys-
tery of Life.” Major William
Benson, chaplain, presided for
the single ring ceremony.

blue suit with a shoulder cor-
sage of pink camolias, Copt. It.
L. Staab was groomsman.
Close friends and relatives

The bride has been employ-
ed in the county Triple A of
fice for five years. Her parents
are prominent stock farmers.
She was graduated from Sweet-
water high school and attended
Draughon’s Business college in
Abilene and Is a Phi Omega Sig-
ma and Beta Sigma Phi, with
membership in the local Beta
chapter.
Sergeant Kubena of Abilene
was employed with Wilson's be-
fore entering the service. He
was a member of Hie Ablicne
Junior Chamber of Commerce.
The couple left immediately
after the ceremony for San An-
tonio and Corpus Christ!. Mr-.
Kubena changed into a beige
wool gabardine suit with gold
accessories for traveling. She
will return to Sweetwater and
continue her employment while
he is in service.

Violinist Comes to
Sweetwater March 5
Seniors of Newman High
school are busy with tlu-ir pro-
ject of bringing to Sweetwater
America’s groat violinist, Benno
Habinof, who with his accompa-
nist, Sylvia Smith, will present
a two hour concert March 5 at
the Municipal Auditorium at
8:15.
A matinee for students will be
held at 3 o’clock in the Newman
High auditorium.
Tickets for the evening perfor-
mance are $1 for adults and 50
cents for students plus tax. For
the matinee tickets arc 25 cents
which includes tax.
The music department of jun-
ior high and high school are as-
sisting with publicity and ticket
sales.
I.aura Sheridan is general
chairman and also chairman of
publicity. P. C. Light foot is fi-
nance chairman and J. (!. fiver-
ion is ticket chairman assisted
by Miss Marie Haney and Miss
Christine Shannon
Mrs. Sid Wells, chairman of
