Unda Bess returned last Tuesday
afternoon after a week and a half
vacationing in Louisiana, Mississip-
pi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri,
and Arkansas.
Guests in the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Roger Gerdes Saturday, were
Mr. and Mrs. Robert White and
daughter, Tammy, of Corpus Christ!.
VISIT PARINTS
Home from Ft Hood for the July
4 weekend visiting their parents,
were Allen Lueckemeyer, Albert
Hesseltlne, and Ronnie Heseltine.
Allen’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. 0.
F. Lueckemeyer, parents of Albert
are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Heseltine;
and Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Hesseltlne
are the parents of Ronnie.
Roger Gerdes, Jr., of Brownsville,
spent Wednesday night visiting with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roger
Gerdes Sr.

the July 4 weekend in Uvalde visit-
ing Mrs. Love’s brother and family,

Monday Night Club
Entertained At Biggs
The Monday Night Bridge Club
was entertained at the home of Mrs.
Raymond Biggs this week.
Scoring high was Mrs. A. V. Vic-
kers and Mrs. George Love won bin-
over the weekend were Mr. and
Mrs. Marshall Gant, their son-in-
law and daughter of Garland, and
another son-in-law Jimmy Arnold,
who is attending achool in Houston.
The Schmalstieg's daughter, Mrs.
Jimmy Arnold is visiting with them
and working in Taft.
Conrad met their daughter and ais-
ter, Nets Sue, In Victoria and then
went to Garner State Park for four
days last week. Upon returning,
Conrad went to TOmball to visit
with friends for the weekend. Nets
Sue remained to spend the July 4
’holiday weekend with her parents.
RRTURNS HOME
Mrs. Lawrence L. Matoushek left
by plane Thursday for her home
in St. Louis, Missouri after visiting
with her brother-in-law and sister,
Mr. and Mrs. James F. Tracy and
family, for two weeks.

RETURN HOME ,
Mrs. Ssm Johnson Jr., and chil-
dren, Christie and Forrest of Pitta-
burg, Pennsylvania, returned to
their home Friday, after spending
the pest two weeks with Mrs. John-
son’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. W.
Land.
Refreshments were served to Mrs.
J. D. Carlisle, Miss Clara McNeil,
Mrs. Garland Beard, Mrs. Vickers,
Mr*. Love; guests, Mrs. F. E. Jarvla,
Mrs. Temple Henry, and Mrs. Mal-
colm Burton.
VISITING PARENTS
Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Speake of
Alexandria, Louisiana, arrived Tues-
day to visit with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. J. H. Speake, until the
weekend. Mr. Speake is a former
teacher in Sinton High School.
VISIT COUSINS
The Ellis Carman family had as
their visitors for five days last week
Mrs. Garman’s cousin and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Flowers, Susan
and Corky, of Waco. They arrived
June 28.
IN WEST VIRGINIA
Mr. and Mrs. Hany Clarke and
Judy left Monday for Huntington,
West Virginia, to visit relatives.
While on their three week trip, they
will visit Mrs. Clarke’s father, Frank
Martin, and her sister, Alice Mar-
tin, and hia parents, Mr. and Mrs.
H. 0. Clarke.
RETURN PROM VISIT
Dr. and Mr*. F. S. Ewing return-
ed Monday night from a visit with
their daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
and Mrs. Lewis Johnson of Dallas.
Mrs. Ewing went up June 26 and
Dr( Ewing met her there July 2.

the weekend in San Antonio where
they attended the Texas State His-
torical Theatre Association's pro-
duction of “Los Indios de San Jose"
at San Jose Mission.
VISITING PARENTS
Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Dawkins and
sons >of Shreveport, La., arrived Fri-
day and will st«y until Sunday, visit-
ing with Mrs. Dawkin's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Ken Foote.
TAKE FISHING TRIP
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Seiler had
as their guests last week Dr. Rev.
and Mrs. Ralph Seiler of Clovis,
New Mexico. They returned to their
home Monday after a three-day fish-
ing trip to the coast They attended
worship services at St. John’s Meth-
odist Church in Corpus Christ! Sun-
day morning.
DAUGHTER VISITS
Miss Georgia Ann Doerr of Dal-
las, visited Saturday and Sunday
with her mother, Mrs. Grace Doerr.

RETURNS TO DUTY
Conrad Carman, who recently
completed boot camp training in
San Diego, California, visited with
his parents, the Ellis Carman's, for
lGdays. He returned July 2 for San
Diego where he will then report for
duty aboard the USS Pearson out
of the Philippines.

ATTEND REUNION
Mr. and Mrs. Ira J. Knox, Mr.
and Mrs. Jackie Knox, and Mr. and
Mrs. Gary Wayne Harris and Gary
Wayne Jr., attended the Knox-Big-
gers Reunion in Austin at the Zit-
her Club House Sunday. Approxi-
mately 88 attended the fifth annual
reunion.
