Many a child ha» been blamed
for a low I.Q. when it was really
a question of Eye-Q. Does he
complain of aching, tired eyes,
or headaches? Do you notice that
he holds a book too close to h!»
face, tilts his head to one side
when looking at an object?
If you see any of these sign*
of eyestrain, it’s time for prompt
parental homework. Arrange a
thorough professional oy®
examination immediately.
A hearing by the State Highway
Commission on the width and
height of the “boat opening” in the
new Port Lavaca causeway has
been postponed to January. At the
request of the Jackson County
Navigation District and the Dis-
trict Court the meeting date has
been changed. The purpose of the
meeting will be to protest what
local interests feel is an inade-
quate opening for the passage of
barges and other vessels through
the causeway enroute up the Jack-
son County Barge Canal to Red
Bluff. It is feared the opening is
too small for large barges which
could ply the canal waters.—Ca-
nado Tribune.
