About 47 people, including Fu-
ture Homemaking and Future
Farmer students from Taft High
School, their teachers and several
other adults, will leave early Satur-
day morning by school bus tor
San Antonio to attend the livestock
show ami rodeo. They will leave
around 6 a.m. to give die stu-
dents time to see the exhibits be-
fore the afternoon performance of
the rodeo. They will return that
evening.
Accompanying the students will
be their teachers. Mis* Angehne
Novak and Bobby Jones, along
with Miss Barbara Tyrrasch, .Mrs.

Simon tonight. The church is ob-
serving the week of dedication and
will have a guest minister on sev-

Food Program for the

commodity foods to needy families.
The county distributed surplus
commodity food on an emergency
basis last year starting in March,
but this program was terminated
last November.
.Several weeks ago Commissioner
Pat Kindle brought the problem
to the court saying that the need
was dire in Aransas Paw for dis-
tribution of food to unemployed
needy families. At dial, time the
court suggested to Commissioner
Kindle that he find out what the
program would cost. Last Monday

sidewalks to the new elementary
school, cross walk* on foe high-
way. and walk-way bridges over
the dips in the streets near the
new school.

coming several obstacles in build-
ing a sidewalk but as yet had
not evolved a satisfactory plan.
