Memorial Day, Tuesday, May 30,
is the day when friends and rela-
tives will gatehr in the Bandera
cemetery to honor their departed
loved one, who have been intered
in the Bandera cemetery during
the past year, from May 30, 1960,
to May 30, 1961.
A program is being arranged
for the services which will take
place at 10 o’clock in the morning.
Mr. Earl Hardin, minister for
the local church of Christ, will
deliver the sermon.

Texas State College here are among
212 candidates for degrees to be
awarded during graduation exer-
cises at-3 p.m., Sunday, May 28.
Evelyn Buck, daughter of Mr.
and Mi's. Olan Bfick of Bandera,
is a candidate for the bachelor of
science in home economics.
FIRST AID COURSE
SCHEDULED
A course in first aid will be con-
ducted June 5-9 and 12-15, from
7:30 p.m., to 9:30 p.m., on the
Bandera Public School Campus as
part of the homertiaking summer
program and the Red Cross first
aid instruction program.
-Red Cross First Aid Certificates
will be presented upon satisfactory
completion of the 18-hour course.
Mr. John R. Wilton, certified first
aid instructor, will conduct the
classes.
All interested adults, both men •
and women, are encouraged to take
this course, which includes such
things as artificial respiration and
first aid treatment for snake, in-
sect, and animal bites,.burns, cuts,
bruises, poisoning, and shock.

Mohair Show will be held on June
10, at the Bandera County Ranch-
men and Farmers warehouse. Jack
Taylor of Kerrville will be the
judge. Fleeces can be brought in
on Friday, June 9, to be entered
in the different classes. Anyone
who cannot bring the fleeces in
by Friday afternoon should bring
them to the warehouse by 8 a.m.,
on Saturday, Julie 10.
The show is open to both jun-
ior and adult exhibitors. Prize

Medina Wednesday. The little girl

pital and is now reported making
good recovery. The little girl fell

first and was unable to get out.

ley community to enjoy a barbecue
dinner at the school yard in Tarp-
